Information Collected or Received

Basic Account Information: When you create or reconfigure an account, you provide some personal information, such as your first and last name, your email address, your zip code, your government identification, your medical marijuana prescription (which may include medical information regarding your medical marijuana recommendation, including the name and license number of your recommending physician, the contact information of the physician, the method to verify the recommendations authenticity, the expiration date of the recommendation, and the recommendation verification number), and a password for your account. Certain aspects of the Service, such as searching and viewing vendor or product profiles on the Site, do not require registration. We may use your email address to send you information about our Service, to market to you, to help prevent spam, fraud, or abuse. You may unsubscribe from an email notification by following the instructions contained within the notification.

Additional Information: If you contact us, we may keep your message, email address, phone number, and contact information to respond to your request.

Public Information: Our Services are primarily designed to maintain the privacy of your information. We understand that most of the information you provide us through the Service is information you are intending to remain private. However, occasionally there are situations where you may intend for Sava to make public the information you share with us. For example, public information includes the messages you post to any public community forum or message board, such as a review of products made available through the Service and the metadata provided with such public information, such as when you posted the message. We may use this information to make inferences, like what topics you may be interested in, and to customize the content we show you. The public information you provide to Sava will remain public for as long as you do not delete it. The Service broadly and instantly disseminates your public information to a wide range of users, customers, and services. When you share information or content via the Service, you should think carefully about what you are making public.

Location Information:  When you use the Service, Sava may receive information about your location. You may tell us your location if you provide your zip code as part of the account creation process or when you provide your shipping information for an order. We may also determine location by using other data from your device, such as precise location information from GPS, information about wireless networks or cell towers near your mobile device, or your IP address. We may use and store information about your location to provide features of our Service, such as to determine whether or not you are eligible to purchase products through the Service, and to improve and customize the Services, for example, with more relevant content like local trends, stories, ads, and suggestions for people to follow.

Links: Sava may keep track of how you interact with links across our Service, including our email notifications, third-party services, and client applications, by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to help improve our Service and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on.

Cookies: Like many websites, we use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons, to collect additional website usage data and to improve our Service, but we do not require cookies for many parts of our Service such as searching and looking at public vendor and product profiles. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer or mobile device. Sava may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Service, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Service, and to customize and improve our Service. Unlike cookies, you cannot decline Web beacons. However, setting your browser to decline cookies or to prompt you for a response will keep Web beacons from tracking your activity.

Log Data: When you use our Service, we may receive information (“Log Data”) such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location, your mobile carrier, device information (including device and application IDs), search terms, and cookie information. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Service, for example, when you visit our websites, sign into our Service, or interact with our email notifications. Sava uses Log Data to provide, understand, and improve our Service, to make inferences, like what topics you may be interested in, and to customize the content we show you.

Payment Services: You may provide your payment information, including your credit or debit card number, card expiration date, CVV code, and billing address (collectively, “Payment Information”), along with your shipping address, to complete a payment transaction through our Service. To facilitate future purchases, we store your Payment Information, excluding CVV code, and shipping address, which you can remove from your account at any time using your account settings. We consider your Payment Information and shipping address private and do not make such information public. We collect and store information created by your purchases made through our Services (“Transaction Data”). Transaction Data may include the merchant’s name and the date, time and amount of the transaction.

Third-Parties and Affiliates: Sava may receive information about you from a variety of third-party affiliates and service providers that to help us to provide our Service. These third-party service providers may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies,  web beacons, or your IP address.

Information Use, Sharing & Disclosure

User Consent or Direction: We may share or disclose your information at your direction, such as when you post a public review of a product on the Service.

Service Providers: We engage service providers to help provide our Service, such as hosting our various blogs, and to help us understand and improve the use of our Service including but not limited to Glew and Google Analytics. These service providers perform functions and provide services to us in the United States and other countries. We may share your private personal information with such service providers subject to obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions. We share your Payment Information with payment services providers to process payments; prevent, detect and investigate fraud or other prohibited activities; facilitate dispute resolution such as chargebacks or refunds; and for other purposes associated with the acceptance of credit or debit cards.

Collectives: If you buy goods through our Service, we may provide the seller, collective, provider or vendor with your name, email address, information related to your eligibility (or lack thereof) to receive medical cannabis, shipping address, Payment Information and Transaction Data to facilitate legal and regulatory compliance obligations, payment processing, order fulfilment and dispute resolution (including payment and shipping disputes) and to help prevent, detect and investigate fraud or other prohibited activities. Please refer to these third parties’ privacy policies for information about their privacy practices.

Law and Harm: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Policy, we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect Sava’s rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information.

Business Transfers and Affiliates: In the event that Sava is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. We may also disclose information about you to our business affiliates in order to help provide, understand, and improve our Service and our affiliates’ services.

Non-Private or Non-Personal Information: We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information, such as the information you choose to post publicly on the Service, or the number of users who clicked on a particular link (even if only one did).

Information Accuracy

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information you submit to us, such as contact information or doctor recommendation information provided as part of registration.  The Service will disable a user’s account if the information provided is determined to be false or no longer current.

Choice & Control

We know that members of our community value having control over their own information, and therefore Sava gives you the choice of providing, editing or removing, certain information, as well as choice over how we contact you.

You may change or correct your Sava account information on the website.  You may also remove certain optional information on the website that you no longer wish to be publicly visible, such as your public posts and reviews.

For various reasons, Sava may send you messages about our Service or your activity.  Some of these messages are required, service-related message for users (such as transactional messages).  Other messages are not required (such as newsletters), and you can control which optional messages you choose to receive by changing your settings in your account.

Security

Your Sava account information is protected by a password.  It is important that you protect against unauthorized access to your account and information by choosing your password carefully, and keeping your password and computer secure, such as by signing out after using our Service.

Sava encrypts sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) using secure socket layer technology (SSL).  Sava follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once Sava receives it.  Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

Sava will retain your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you services.  If you no longer want Sava to use your information to provide you services, you may close your account.  Sava will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may inform us of any changes or requests regarding your personal data, and in accordance with our obligations under applicable data protection law, we may update or delete your personal data accordingly.

SMS/MMS Mobile Messaging Marketing Program

We respect your privacy. We will only use information you provide through the Program to transmit your mobile messages and respond to you, if necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing information with platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of mobile messages.  WE DO NOT SELL, RENT, LOAN, TRADE, LEASE, OR OTHERWISE TRANSFER FOR PROFIT ANY PHONE NUMBERS OR CUSTOMER INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH THE PROGRAM TO ANY THIRD PARTY. Nonetheless, We reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect Our rights or property. When you complete forms online or otherwise provide Us information in connection with the Program, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information. You agree not to use a false or misleading name or a name that you are not authorized to use. If, in Our sole discretion, We believe that any such information is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, or you have opted into the Program for an ulterior purpose, We may refuse you access to the Program and pursue any appropriate legal remedies.

Our Policy Towards Children

Our Service is not directed to persons under 18. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us here. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account.

Privacy Policy Changes
